My Comments:
This was not a cute little romance that I am used to reading from this line of Harlequin.. It was in fact quite heavy and sad..

The story was about 3 small children who's mother went missing and eventually presumed dead after a few years.. They were being raised by their single father and all of them were very emotionally troubled. At the start of the story they  move to a new town in a house next to a woman who's life was equally sad after a divorce and then losing her 3 year old child 2 years previous to illness..

I had a bit of trouble wanting to push forward with the story, but the conclusion was worth the extra effort and I am glad that I stuck with it.

Description from the publisher:

A mother in the making Jennifer's heart went out to new neighbor Noah and his three little kids. Their mother had gone missing a few years before, and the single dad was struggling. All Jennifer could do was be there for them and bring love and laughter to their troubled lives. And, when the truth finally emerged, help them get over their loss.

For so long the attraction that simmered between Jennifer and Noah had been denied. Now, out of the blue, came a proposal of marriage. But was it because he loved her or because he needed a stand-in mother for his children?
