My Comments:
This was so much fun to read since I live so close to where the story took place! I was smiling at every mention of places and streets that were known to me.

But besides all that the story was really great.. The lead character is a private detective named Angela, and she had me laughing and coming back for more!

I'm looking forward to reading more from this series soon. :)

Description from the publisher:
Angela Matelli, a good Italian-American girl from East Boston, leaves the Marines to return to the bosom of her family and begin a new career as a private investigator. Her first client (a referral from her Uncle "No-Legs" Charlie) is retired policeman Tom Grady, who hires Angela to check up on Brian Scanlon, his daughter's new boyfriend. This simple background check, however, soon becomes a confusing tangle of murder, cover-up, and intrigue when Grady is found dead outside his favorite bar and Scanlon is seen keeping company with the suspected leader of a terrorist group. With a dead client and a bag full of loose ends, Angela starts to investigate Tom Grady's suspicious death and continues to dig into Brian Scanlon's checkered past, inquiries that lead her to an organization whose seemingly idealistic waters run deceptively deep, a daughter who is torn between her father and her lover, and someone who is out to kill Angela before she is able to find out the truth.
