Margot Berglund is a 53 year old widow who owns a needlework shop called Crewel World. She is an expert at most needlework and because of this she is very helpful to her customers.
Her husband had been rich, but she lived a simple life in a small apartment above the store.

Margot's older sister, Betsy, comes to live with her after going through her 2nd divorce...

After a night out Betsy comes home and finds Crewel World trashed and Margot murdered.

Betsy soon takes matters into her own hands after she realizes that the police are treating this as nothing more then a robbery gone bad... she soon discovers that Margots landlord Joe wanted her building so he can re-build on the land and charge more rent, but Margot had a cheap lease that is good for another four years. Joe was constantly bothering Margot about every little thing to try and evict her, but she had a great lawyer who handled all the issues and planed on Margot keeping her 4 year lease active.

Then Betsy finds out about Irene who completley admits that she wanted something to happen to Margot so that she could take over the store...
